Intermittent Netowrk Connectivity issues with C7000/Bl460c Gen8 with FlexFabric Virtual Connect
FYI – SSH from another VM does stay up when the event happens.
So it appears that whatever path is being used from a BL460 to the HP Network “may” be the culprit…
When the “event” happens:
- VNC & SSH sessions from workstations outside the computer room on HP network and VPN’d into HP network are lost
- Unable to ping or connect using the 16.125.243.165 address (or DNS name) from entities outside the computer room on the HP network
- CAN connect to & ping the VM using the 16.x.x.x address from
- other VMs located on BL460s in the C7000 chassis
- other VMs located on DL380 in the VM environment
- NonStops located in the computer room
- vSphere Console
All of the “connect” things in C seem to be slow (like waiting on some kind of system resource), but at least they work. Pings are normal speed.
I have not tested SSH from another VM when the event happens to see if that is dropped or if it stays up….
