LACP Timer changeable for VC firmware below v4.01?

Is there any way that we can modify VC LACP timer for versions below 4.01?       If we can, this would help preventing network outage with Cisco Nexus NX-OS code upgrade for VC enclosures below 4.01.     Customer Cisco engineer proposing shutdown one path of VC but thinking it over, with vPC configured VC uplinks go to two Nexus, maybe I need to unplug one Nexus uplink from VC  keeping  one Nexus to one VC relationship ratio?     The disadvantage would be  less bandwidth to VC during Nexus code upgrade.      Thanks any advice.

No options to modify timer by customers until VCM v4.01 release.
