Looking for info on "Pause Frame" definition

Karene was looking for info on the difference between “priority pause frames” vs normal “pause frames”.

The Priority pause frames are discussed in a new standard. If VC supports this standard 802.1Qbb.

Standard Pause frame will just block traffic from a MAC, PFC on the other hand distinguishes between class of traffic and has a timer – how long should the sender wait for the receiver to avoid congestion.

A priorty pause frame is designed to insure QoS Quality of service.  It exists to assist in time sensitive delivery,to insure a service can get needed bandwidth.
