Mix two Virtual Connect (VC)-Fibre Channel 4G and 8G bay 3 & 4

 We have a customer with the following modules installed

Interconnect module bay 1 : HP Virtual connect Flex 10 . FW 3.17

Interconnect Module bay 2: HP Virtual connect Flex 10 . FW 3.17

Interconnect Module Bay 3 : HP VC FC 4GB FW 1.41

Interconnect Module Bay 4 :HP VC FC 8GB FW 1.40

So , it is supported to mix both VC FC like the above installation …

It is not supported. Find below the excerpts (page # 15) from VC Setup and installation guide Aug 2011 edition.

Do not mix HP Virtual Connect 8Gb 24-Port FC Modules with HP Virtual Connect 4Gb or 8Gb

20-Port FC Modules in the horizontally adjacent interconnect bays connected to the same server

blade mezzanine card.
