Mixing Copper and Fiber VC-ENet Modules

I'm new to the group and was wondering if anyone has been able to use both the Copper and Fiber VC-ENet modules in the same chassis. I was considering using them in let's say bays 1 & 2, to allow me to failover to different media types. Am I out of my gourd? Thank you in advance for your response. Regards, Scott F. Gunelius

Mixing Copper and Fiber VC-ENet Modules

Hi Scott, I have both modules running in my lab within HP in a C7000 Enclosure. Copper in bay 1&2 VCe-F in bay3&4 with great pleasure. No problems at all. Keep in mind that you can only put datalinks from 1 VC module in a single trunk/LACP group and not put fiber 10GB & copper 10GB cables in 1 trunk/LACP group. That is not allowed / not working as expected. does this helps a bit? Cheers, Jeroen
