Multiple Shared Uplink Sets using HP 1/10Gb VC-Enet Module?
Is it possible/permitted to set up Multiple Shared Uplink Sets using the HP 1/10Gb VC-Enet Module?
For example, to have ports 1 and 2 in one shared uplink set, and 3 and 4 in another? Or is this a limitation of some sort?
The interface allows this, but I wannot get ports 3 and 4 to communicate outside the chassis*, and this has now happened on two chassis. I've tried multiple configurations and repeated the setup to rule out human error, fat-finger, etc.
The uplink. configuration has been verified using other hardware.
Any advice or insight would be appreciated.
Thanks.
* - servers attached to it can reach one another - they just can't reach anything outside the chassis.

Re: Multiple Shared Uplink Sets using HP 1/10Gb VC-Enet Module?
You can certainly create more than one Shared Uplink Set with the ports available on the VC Module. You can even create a Shared Uplink Set with no ports assigned to it. The ony thing you cannot do is add the same ports to multiple SUS's.
HP Master ASE, Storage, Servers, and Clustering
MCSE (NT 4.0, W2K, W2K3)
VCP (ESX2, Vi3, vSphere4, vSphere5, vSphere 6.x)
RHCE
NPP3 (Nutanix Platform Professional)

What does you SUS look like? Do you have some screen shots to share?
