Port Mapping Question when using VC FlexFabric Modules.
If I am using BL685 G7's and fully populating a c7000 chassis, also installing a pair of the new VC FlexFabric modules then I will get 4 10GE downlinks to each BL685 correct? I can then split each of those downlinks into 3 FlexNCIS and 1 FlexHBA?
I have been caught out with port mappings in the past so just want to make sure.
It says the VC FlexFabric support 16 downlinks each so if using the BL685' that would be 4 per blade with a total of 8 Blades you use your 16 downlinks.
Of course if I was using a BL465 then it would only be 2 dowlinks per server.

Re: Port Mapping Question when using VC FlexFabric Modules.
All 16 downlinks are available to each of the blades. It is the blade NICs and Mezz cards that get mapped to each of the I/O bays. The ports are parallel signals that go to each blade server backplane interconnect.
Take a look at the c7000 port mapping guide and the BL685c G7 port mapping guides.
