Removing Virtual Connect (VC) Domain from Virtual Connect Manager (VCEM)
Sami had a customer Virtual Connect question:
***************
Hello folks,
My customer is going to remove a VC Domain from being managed by VCEM.
HP VC Flex-10/10D Module 4.31
HP VC 8Gb 24-Port FC Module 1.11
He is asking is there any change will happen to the assigned profiles? Or any operation interruption?
Any advisory about the possible issues is appreciated...
***********
Info from Chad:
*************
The existing profiles will continue to use the same MACs and WWNs as currently assigned, they will become User-Defined. Once the domain is removed from VCEM, I would recommend capturing show config -includepoolinfo (or a VC backup run through the Backup Converter tool found here: vc-util.austin.hp.com) in case you need to re-create these profiles down the road with unchanged MACs and WWNs.
There is no interruption to operation.
