Team,
We want to connect Flex 10/10D module uplink with Cisco catalyst Switch 9300. Can you please guide which fiber cable and SPF will be required at both Flex-10 and Cisco switch side ? Please note that, we will be using 10G Flex-10 uplink for this connection.

SolutionHello! have you tried reading related HPE QuickSpecs (or other relevant Datasheet documenting supported options ni case of Cisco)? the HPE Virtual Connect Flex-10/10D Module for c-Class BladeSystem QuickSpecs (23rd October 2017, 19th Edition) should have supported SFP+ Transceivers already clearly listed, Cisco should have a similar document too.
From a pure connectivity standpoint a single link uplink will require - on each end - a supported SFP+ Transceiver (SR = Short Range if the fiber optic run is no longer than 300 meters) and a proper certified fiber optic cabling - generally OM3 quality should suffice - between switches' interfaces (if the HPE and the Cisco are just few meters away a fiber optic patch LC/LC should be enough between them...DAC could be problematic since they require to be supported on both ends...and if you use Cisco you could have issue on HPE side and vice-versa...the SFP+ Transceivers way is for sure more expensive but also agnostic to underlying vendor).

Re: Required to Connect HP Flex 10/10D Ethernet Module with Cisco 9300 catalyst switch using 10G SFP
Dear Parnassus,
Thank you for your comprehensive response. It's very much clear now, what is required to procure to connect Flex 10 module with Cisco switch.
Regards,
