Reverting from logical to physical serial #s in Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM)

IHAC that has some blade enclosures that were imported to VCEM with the option for a logical serial number to be assigned to the blade.  For audit reasons they need to revert back to the real SN of the servers.  Research so far indicates the only way to disable the logical SN setting would be to evict and re-import the entire blade enclosure, re-create domains, etc.  That’s hurts.

Is there another, less invasive, option for this customer?

You can re-create the profiles 1 by 1, with the server off, and when you re-build the profile, you just check the box for overriding the Virtual Serial.

I’m talking about VC here, not sure where you do it in VCEM.

PS: Any reason they don’t just use a script to expose the real serial number for an audit?
