SNMP Trap for Virtual Connect
Chairutthana needed some SNMP info:
*********************
Dear All,
Our TS/CMS team in Thailand, try to integrate the SNMP trap from VC-Flex10 to NNM/HPOV server for monitor alarm.
Currently alarm can be sent/received between VC-Flex10 and NNM/HPOV, but we need more information about the traps. (refer to attachment file)
Can anyone help describe or point to the document which described on these traps from VC?
Here is example messages which extract from the file.
….
vcCheckpointCompleted
vcCheckpointTimeout
vcDomainManagedStatusChange
vcDomainStackingLinkRendundancyStatusChange
vcEnclosureManagedStatusChange
vcEnetNetworkManagedStatusChange
vcFcFabricManagedStatusChange
vcModPortInputErrorsDown
vcModPortInputErrorsUp
vcModPortInputUtilizationDown
vcModPortInputUtilizationUp
vcModPortOutputErrorsDown
vcModPortOutputErrorsUp
vcModPortOutputUtilizationDown
vcModPortOutputUtilizationUp
vcModuleDomainRoleChange
vcModuleManagedStatusChange
vcPhysicalServerManagedStatusChange
vcProfileManagedStatusChange
vcTestTrap
…
In additional, there is a question from customer, does the VC-Flex10 has capability to set threshold/monitor internal processor/memory (like network switch).
And is there any possibility to monitor or generated alarm when VC module is fail-over.
Thank you very much!

Madhu had some additional info:
*********************
MIB files for Virtual Connect. http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=MTX-781487480f2f4d6ea5ac2d2050&taskId=135&swLang=8&lang=en&cc=us&mode=5&
File names, are these the only ones relevant to VC flex10?:
vc-domain-mib
vc-module-mib
Where can I get more information about these traps below to figure out if they are relevant or not and what the severity levels mean?
vcDomainManagedStatusChange
The summary managed status of the domain has changed.
vcCheckpointTimeout
The checkpoint valid status remained false for more than
five minutes.
vcCheckpointCompleted
A checkpoint operation has completed following a checkpoint timeout
trap. The checkpoint valid status is true again. This trap is
not sent on every checkpoint completion, but only on a checkpoint
completion after a vcCheckpointTimeout trap has been sent.

Any more help for these guys?
