Simply explained Virtual Connect configuration features

Simply explained Virtual Connect configuration features

As the firmware becomes more complicated an more and more features are added to the VC manager, the need for simple "how to configure" and "why to use", "will in impact a running environment?" descriptions of these single features increases. Think about Smartlink, VLAN tunneling, Native VLANs, etc. Most of the information can be found in several manuals but a very short and simple explanation of each feature would be very nice in this topic. Smartlink Used in combination with Teaming. A failing uplink from VC-ethernet to backbone switch (link-down) will cause a link-down on the c-Blade server. Without Smartlink this link will stay-up and a team fail-over on the server will not occur. Fail-over will cause a small hick-up on the network.

We also have a "VC for Cisco Admins" manual too. It has lots of good technology terms decoded from Cisco language. Your thoughts? http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01386629/c01386629.pdf

Wow, This last one (VC for CISCO Admins) describes in detailed all features, but must be updated to include the latest features added with version 1.30.
