Stacking Links Error

Hi I'm currently receiving a stacking link error from my c7000 enclosure the error states that.

Some VC-Enet modules are not properly connected via stacking links.  Please verify stacking cable connections.

Any ideas??

Re: Stacking Links Error

Hi,

Connect to the Virtual Connect Manager and check the errors under the stacking links option.

Which modules do you have? How connected? Firmware version?

Bart

The stacking links page doesn't show an errors I'm running on the latest firmware.

Re: Stacking Links Error

Doesn't it state any error messages of missing links?

You have the default links between module 1 and 2, and 3 and 4, I assume you need to connect also modules 1 and 3, and 2 with 4...

I do not have a VC manager at the moment to test things out...

Re: Stacking Links Error

The only message I have is a Note stating:

Port X0 connects to the internal link between horizontally-adjacent VC-Enet modules.
Port X7 and X8 connects to the internal link between horizontally-adjacent Flex-10/FlexFabric enabled VC-Enet modules.

Re: Stacking Links Error

You will need to connect modules 1 and 3 together, and also modules 2 and 4...

Take a look at page 10 from this PDF:

Re: Stacking Links Error

How do I go about adding the links?

Re: Stacking Links Error

Sorry it is page 9...

See the 2 vertical connections between modules 1-3 and 2-4...

These connections can be made with for instance CX4 10Gb cables...
