Stacking Virtual Connect (VC) FlexFabric modules question
Joe had a question about stacking links for VC modules:
***********
When I had an enclosure with 4 VC Flex-10/10d modules the enclosure reported stacking link errors until I cabled the modules together. Does the same apply to the VC FlexFabric modules ?
************
Reply from Dave:
Yes, all VC Ethernet modules need to be stacked, whether horizontal or vertical.
And the same info from Chad:
Yes, all Ethernet modules in a VC domain must be stacked together

Re: Stacking Virtual Connect (VC) FlexFabric modules question
However for the vertical VC modules the stacking will be in the enclosure midplane and no need for external cables, right?

Re: Stacking Virtual Connect (VC) FlexFabric modules question
Hi,
Only the vertical modules are stacked automatically via the enclosure midplane...
Vertical modules (so for instance 1 and 3) should be stacked with external cables...
