Upgrade from Virtual Connect 1/10Gb-F module to VC Flex-10 10Gb modules
Andy had a customer looking to upgrade their Virtual Connect 1/10 Gb-F modules to the new Virtual Connect Flex-10 10Gb modules:

I don’t get to much exposure to VC and have a customer upgrading from VC 1/10 - F modules to Flex10 and they want to restore their configuration to the Flex10. Will it accept the config without issue and retain the HP defined WWN and MAC info from the original VC unit ?

Vincent provided the answer:

Yes, you will be able to restore the configuration from backup but you will have to make some adjustments, in particular because the uplink port names are different between VC 1/10-F and VC Flex-10.
Please also check out the VC install guide at http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01732252/c01732252.pdf, page 47-48

That should help? Are you ready to upgrade? Anything holding you up?
