Use 6120XG bladeswitch as default gateway?
I was going to setup VRRP on my new bladeswitches until I discovered they don't support it. the intention was to use the blade switches as the default gateway for bladeservers and also for direct attached p4500 san nodes (sfp+ 10GE)
now it seems I will have to continue to use my old 5400zl switches as the gateway, which adds an extra hop if I am going to isolate my iscsi traffic, In other words the blade servers will have to go past the bladeswitches to get storage, being the 5406zl switches will be doing vlan routing.
could someone please tell me if I am nuts.
Thanks
