VC Ethernet + VLan
Hi
I didn't find clearly how VC Ethernet works with VLans.
Is it possible to route VLans through VC transparently?
E.g.:
Blade <> VC <> external switch
I configure a network without using VLan tags in VC and put one port of the blade and on external prot linked to the switch into that network.
When I start using VLan tags within the blade and configure the on the external switch but do *NOT* configure the VLan within VC - will I be able to communicate using the tagged VLan?

Re: VC Ethernet + VLan
Hi
I just found the tunnel mode for VLans. This is exactly what I am looking for.
The Problem is that in the VC version I am currently able to look at (2.32) does not support using some mapped VLans and a tunneled VLan at the same time.
Do newer versions of VC support this?

Re: VC Ethernet + VLan
Take a look at the latest Virtual Connect 3.15. There is also the latest Virtual Connect Cookbook with new scenarios. I believe that you can use tagged VLANs and Tunnel mode but there are restrictions.
