VC Modules and c7000 Enclosure Generation Compatibility
Hi All,
Been working a while on a project that included pulling the Flex-10 Enet (P/N 455880-B21) VCMs from an older Generation 1 c7000 chassis and trying to reuse them in a newer c7000 Gen 3 Platinum chassis. The strange thing is the 10Gb Ethernet works no problem, but when I attempt to use a 1Gb Copper SFP (which were in use when the module was in the original Gen1 chassis) they will not link to any switches I connect them to.
Which leads me to my question, I know that with VC Firmware updates some older modules have been made unsupported, but is there the same situation with chassis generations dropping support for certain modules? I'm beginning to think that this could be my issue.
Thanks

Re: VC Modules and c7000 Enclosure Generation Compatibility
Might I ask what your OA versions are and what version your VCMs are?
Might shed some light on what's going on...
regards,
Louis

Re: VC Modules and c7000 Enclosure Generation Compatibility
Everything is up to 4.45 on the VCMs, and my OA is 4.50
