VCM failed to upgrade to 4.85 from 4.10 - Stacking Links failed
This past weekend, attempted to upgrade VCM from 4.10 to 4.85. Log below - secondary reports as running 4.85 but primary reports as 4.10 and the units are not speaking to each other. Secondary rebooted but the system never failed over to it / primary never rebooted.
We have not rebooted the primary yet as that will cause an outage. Attempted to run the upgrade again with '-f health, version' and that fails with 'Previous firmware update was not completed'

Re: VCM failed to upgrade to 4.85 from 4.10 - Stacking Links failed
Hi msteele,
Please try the following steps one by one :
1) From the VCM CLI, issue the following command:
reset vcm -failover
OR
From the VCM Web UI, navigate to the Tools Menu and select "Reset Virtual Connect Manager." On the pop-up dialog box, check the "Force Failover" option and then select Yes.
2) Reset VCM (refer : https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=mmr_kc-0118494)
3) Restart VC
4) If nothing helps, remove the VC 2 and perform forceful update on VC1
(Please have regular Back up and arrange for Downtime before performing any activity)
Thank you
RamKS

Hi Mark,
Good day!
May we know if the upgrade was successful or when it will be scheduled.
Thank you

Thanks Ram - I am still working to get a maintenance window.
We have to take about 830 live streams down when we do this.
