Virtual Connect 4.01 and ESXi 5.5 compatibility ?

Hi People,

Does Virtual Connect v4.01 (HP VC Flex-10 Enet Module) supports VMware ESXi 5.5 Update 3 and above ?

When looking in this HPE documentation http://vibsdepot.hp.com/hpq/recipes/HPE-VMware-Recipe.pdf it doesn't mention anything about performing risky & difficult firmware update to support ESXi 5.5U3 and the latest edition.

Can anyone please clarify if it is a requirement or optional only when there is a problem ?
