Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM) with HP-UX question.

Hi,

I’m working with a customer and they have a BL890c i2 with Virtual Connect opportunity.  They’d prefer an all HP-UX solution(managed and management server(s)).  Is VCEM dependent on (a WIndows) System Insight Manager/ Central Management Server (SIM/CMS)?  According to QuickSpecs, VCEM requires Windows and SQL server.

If they were to setup a HP-UX CMS, could they install VCEM on top of it? I’m thinking no.

Any feedback is much appreciated!

You are correct, VCEM is not supported on a HP-UX Central Mangement Server (CMS).
