Virtual Connect-FC Firmware update problems
John was having a firmware update issue with McAfee in place:
********************
Earlier today I spent a lot of time trying to update two VC-FC modules that were out of sync with VC Flex-10. The VC Flex 10 modules where at 3.18 and VC –FC where at 1.01. No matter what I do the VCSU continues to fail when updating to 1.04. It gets to about 50% then replies with a failed to update. McAfee is in learn mode and I have also tried different Enclosures, Any input would be appreciated.

From David:
*****************
I have given up on McAfee. I disable the Firewall by unchecking the Firewall box and leave the window open(minimize it) when doing VC upgrades. If you close out the McAfee Intruder window, it will resort back to default after 15 minutes, causing issues. When I turn it off, I can use VCSU to update VC, otherwise I do not see the percentages returned and have to do a ‘ctrl c’ after a long wait ~45 minutes to see if it completed successfully. I was never able to get it to LEARN VCSU.

Any other comments or suggestions?
