Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

Sure I can connect to module 1 or module 2 , but can not reach module 3 or 4 cause there no communication,

I have try to set iP address to the module 3 and 4 manually but it is not taken by the modules.

Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

you cannot connect to these modules, the ethernet modules will control them.

Hope this helps!

Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

I have also the same problem on a C7000. One SAN Module on Interconnect Bay 3 did not get a management IP.  So no communiction between Enclosue and Module and therefore we get no connection to SAN switch outside. I reseted, un-/replug and changed the SAN module. Nothing helps.

Did anyone get meanwhile a solution for that problem?

Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

I'm not sure at the moment if VC FC modules get an IP or not.

However, you cannot access them, that is normal.

All configuration is done via the VC ethernet modules.

Hope this helps!

Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

Hi Torsten,

I know that I cannot access the SAN modules direct. But the IP is needed that the SAN Module can communicate with the Enclosure and Ethernet module.

The module on Bay 4 get an IP but not the moduel in Bay 3.

I have 22 Enclosures in my responibillity and only one has this strange error.

best regards

Re: Virtual Connect FC issue

No need to swap the module bays, you can also try in an empty slot.

Hope this helps!
