Virtual Connect Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Phil had a VC question:
********************
I’ve had a request from a customer asking which HP Tool would be suitable to do both Performance Monitoring and Reporting for VC Domains. They’re looking at getting VCEM in the near future, but I haven’t seen anything in the manuals that particularly suggests it does much of the above. The customer hasn’t been particularly specific as to exactly what they want, but I suspect analysis/reporting of healthy Domains, bottlenecks, latency etc.
Have any of you got any experience of this with any of your accounts and could suggest an applicable tool?

If your customer is running VC 3.30 or higher, they may be interested in the statistics information available through the VCM CLI. The entries for “statistics” and “statistics-throughput” in the VCM CLI manual http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02996642/c02996642.pdf have more details. VC 3.70 will make this information available through the VCM web UI as well.

Other suggestions?
