I have a c7000 chassis with 2 Virtual Connect flexfabric 10 GB/24-port module (pn 571956-21 and I need to have 3 hp BLc Virtual connect 1Gb RJ-45 SFP modules (pn 453154-b21) per VC modules. Is this a configuration that is valid?

SolutionYes; you'd have to use X5, X6 and X7 (zone 7 in the diagram below). Keep in mind that you will lose one of your side to side stacking links (X7) with this configuration, but you will still have one 10GbE connection (X8).

Re: Virtual Connect flexfabric 10 GB/24-port module question
You can actually go to 4 x 1GB SFPs in the FlexFabric but only if you use an external DAC Cable to connect one of the left 4 ports from VC1 to VC2. Basically moving the Stacking link from X8 to something like X4.
Just connect the new cable and verify it shows as a stacking link in the GUI before plugging in the SFP into X8.
