Virtual Connect profile issue or VMware device enumeration issue?
Virtual Connect profile issue or VMware device enumeration issue? Or what ... ?
As stated above I have something of an odd issue with either the server profiles or possibly the way the hypevisor enumerated the devices...I am not sure which
I have 4 - BL 460 G6 blades in a G2 chassis using 2 - 3020 blade switches. All 4 blades have the NC325m Quad Port 1Gb NIC for c-Class BladeSystem in mezz slot 2 (only 2 active nics since bays 7 and 8 are empty...). Also the LOM is Flex-10 Embedded Ethernet Ethernet FlexNIC
The issue is, on 2 of the blades the active nics show up as 2 and 3...on the other two blades tha active nics show up as 8 and 9.
While this is not a huge deal to configure the hypervisor on 4 blades, I was hoping to uses host profiles since we are supposed to get the remaining 12 blades back from the current use for this new project...with that said doing a standard config on 16 blades by hand will cause some config drift ...
Anyone else seen this? Am I missing something tottally obvious?
Any insight...ideas etc would be greatly appreciated!
