Virtual Connect stacking cables - is mixing active and passive cables allowed?

Gary had a customer question:

Customer has qty(3) c7000 chassis stacked.  They just discovered that they have a both active and passive cables intermixed for stacking.  Is that supported?

Stacking links do not have to be of a specific type or all the same. Supported.

The only restriction is X1-X4 on VC FlexFabric modules supports up to 5m (Passive) cables. Active cables are supported on any faceplate port.
