bl490c G6 Broadcom driver crash (bnx2x_panic_dump) in ESXi 4.1 using VC Fw 2.33
hi guys,
I got a bnx2x_panic_dump error in my ESXi 4.1 servers running on the bl 490c G6 with VC FW 2.33. this appear due to high network traffic on the hosts.
hw constelation is:
-1/10 F VC module (bay 1,2)
- 4gbit FC VC Modules (bay 3,4)
- Flex 10 VC Modules (bay 5,6)
the blade is having the LOM connected to the 1/10F VC modules over a gigabit link. VmWare sees 2 Nics with 1 gbit speed.
in the blade there is as well the NC542m melanox mezannine, however this is not supported in VC yet neither VMware ESXi 4.1 sees the nics. I suppose the drivers are not there.
In order to fix the issue i tried to put the Broadcom driver 1.52 from VMware which was fixing similar issues in the past with ESXi 4.0, however this does not support ESXi 4.1
Any idee here ?
cheers,
