I have flex10 VC with 8GB 24 port FC modules. We have the latest release set. At the moment 2 paths are down(1 path on each of two SAN fabrics). These path failures are not shown on windows or VMware blades, in the OS. Is this by design? Does the VC handle multipathing itself? Multiple paths are still seen by the OS, but path failures are not reported or reacted to by the OS. The OS still thinks all paths are up. Please confirm this is normal

SolutionSAN fabric A inside VC should be one path from OS side. If one link inside SAN fabric A is not available, the hosts logged into that link will be reconnected through other links in the same fabric.
you can check VC FC cookbook for more details. start from page 20. you can find doc download pointer from my blog.
