iSCSI Offload with NC532i and NC532m

Hi there,

We have some new bl460c G6 Servers with embedded NC532i and extra NC532m (mezzaine) network cards and two Flex-10 10Gb Ethernet modules.

My question is, is it possible to configure iSCSI Offload on these Cards in a Virtual connect environment?

The documentations are confusing me about that. The iSCSI Offload for Windows User Guide, lists these two cards but the Virtual Connect Ethernet Cookbook lists them as unsupported in a FLex-10 Environment.

NC532i/m are not CNA so they can't do H/W based iSCSI offload.

You need to have G7 servers above or NC553m or NC551m mezz card to support H/W iscsi on server side.

could you let me know which URL is windows user guide? I can check and get it corrected.

this is from iSCSI VC cookbook, which is correct.

With Virtual Connect technology, only the following components support iSCSI Boot and Accelerated iSCSI:
