Michal was looking for some info on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for a customer:

I am needing to do a VDI comparison between various VDI vendros such as VMware, and Citrix. The last info I saw was from 2 years ago. Is there anything newer I can use?

So a lot has changed in over a year's time, and the conclusions made below are not necessary as valid today as they were a year ago.   Defining View or XenDesktop less complex can be very dependent on what you are most familiar with.  Components of XenDesktop including PVS can all be run within VMs.  The PVS provisioning of XenDesktop has some very good performance functionality in the latest versions that can greatly reduce storage costs, and the upcoming versions of View have performance options affecting storage as well.   Please don't base decisions on year old information.
