Need VMware 5.0 / 5.1 and 5.5 WBEM Agents and Best Practices

Hello Experts,

I am working on Discovering some Bl460c Servers in HP SIM 7.2 that are running VMware 5.0 , 5.1 and 5.5  and the customer wants to use WBEM.

I customer and I can’t find the WBEM download link nor any best practices/steps for Installing and Configuring WBEM in HP SIM. Any internal documents, steps or information I can personally review.

What I need, Please.

Customer is asking for –

1. WBEM Download Link for VMware 5.0 , 5.1 and 5.5
2. Steps on Installing WBEM
3. Steps on Configuring WBEM

One slight deviation though, personally I wouldn’t use Global credentials, I would specify the credentials on a per server basis when discovering.

ESXi WBEM providers are included in the HP custom image. You do not need to install this package separately. You can configure the data source as WBEM in HP SIM, to use it for discovery and data collection.
