Symetrical Multi-Processing (SMP) License
Taha had a licensing question:
**********************
Does SMP utilize target based licensing or source based licensing??
If a customer would like to migrate a physical server to a Virtual Machine on VMware or Hyper-V does he need a license for the source host or the target ESX or Hyper-V server???
*******************
From Vincent:
********************
It's the target that needs to be licensed. An Insight Control license for a host covers unlimited migrations to that host.
********************
Any other licensing gurus out there that concur with Vincent? Other comments?
