Differences between CAE and CAS

Hi guys,

May i know what are the significant differences between CA Enterprise and CA Standard? From what i know, CAS doesn't have the RCS, doesnt' integrate with ED/DDMI and does pretty much what CAE does. Well, apart from the difference in pricing, what makes the users prefer CAS to CAE etc... functionality, configuration wise? I hope you guys could share some knowledge or experience in this. Thanks a lot!

Regards,
Kevin

Re: Differences between CAE and CAS

Hi,

CAS is a cutdown version of CAE. You will not see all the features of CAE in CAS. As you said those are some differences between the two.

Apart from these there are differences in the way native packaging is supported in CAS as it will not give options to support advanced mode of publishing.

CAS can be used only for small and medium business environments and CAE is used at the enterprise wide administration.

Policy based administration has variations in CAS and CAE.

For more clarifications please refer the documentations available at the following site
