Re: ProLiant Essentials Vulnerability Patch Mgmt Pk

Hi,

Accessed URLs are listed in the patch.cfg file located in \etc, eg c:\Novadigm\IntegrationServer\etc\patch.cfg.
By default they are
http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/d/b/0db2e5d7-0ba9-4856-b51f-db7c0b838c68/MSSecure_1033.CAB, http://www.msus.windowsupdate.com/msus/v1/aucatalog1.cab, http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin
and http://update.novadigm.com/patch/data

Hope this helps,

How do you go about getting a login for the HP Radia corrected feed?

Re: ProLiant Essentials Vulnerability Patch Mgmt Pk

Hi Stephen,

I do not have the password to access the novadigm feed but if your intention is to access the microsoft site for the patches, you don't need a password. (In the radia patch configuration web site, you can just enter any id and password in the 'Novadigm' compulsory entry). You need to enter some dummy data or the web page will not allow you to proceed. Then the patch manager should be able to access the microsoft feed.

Re: ProLiant Essentials Vulnerability Patch Mgmt Pk

In addition to the vendor websites, there are files downloaded directly from VPM:

https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/versions.xml

https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/HarrisUpdate.exe

https://www.hp.com/pub/essentials/vpm/VulnUpdate.exe

There will soon be a forum for VPM questions: "ProLiant Security, Networking, Patching". In the meantime, the "HP Systems Insight Manager" forum is being monitored by the VPM team.
