Re: Problems with reporting

Dear Nacho,
I understand your question, you had installed the radia client on the machines.

Did you put into action the audit settings on your configuration server?

what else have you done?

Re: Problems with reporting

The CCM documenation is pretty good on how to implemenet Inventory. See pages 61 and 160.
If your system is running slow I need to understand the platform it is on. Have you met the platfrom requirements as documented on page 31?

Re: Problems with reporting

Dear nacho,
when you want to have the hardware inventory please go thrue the inventory manager guide.

the main point is to establish a connection from the audit domain to your default workgrp.

hopefully I'm on the right train with the answer, because I have some problems with your englisch, it's on my side.

Re: Problems with reporting

dear nacho,
you can inventory with the usage manager the application which is installed.

the main work is to define the search criteria.

for my understanding usage manager is a classical positive list search. so when you identify the application name in your regestrie whith the next scan you will post this information into the database of the usage manager.

How to difine? Side 63... from the guide.

basic is a criteria. they can be included in a rules.

rules should be a way to manage groups of search results.

rules can be combined to a set.

filter examples are on page 67

usbinvn.exe is the one which works on the client side for collections.

hope this helps a little.

Re: Problems with reporting

Inventory for specific software is doable using the RIM client and custom AUDIT Services.
Hopefully the Radia Inventory Guide can provide sufficient information.
I don't believe that CCM provides for custom auditing.
You may want to consider using the Application Usage feature of CCM though.
