Reboot timer

After I deploy patches the PCs automatically reboot. Is there a way to set up a timer so that after the patches are applied the user receives a count down timer to close out of any opened applications?

Re: Reboot timer

Hi,

If you use ask=y and rtimeout=X where "X" is the number of seconds before the machine reboots, the user will be prompted with an ok/cancel reboot dialogue box with a count down timer on it.

Just to add on to that.. it should be executed in a radskman cmd.

Re: Reboot timer

Nick,

Is the rtimeout command client version specific?

Thanks,

Re: Reboot timer

Hi Moaeed,

Yes, the clients need to be version 3 although I'm not sure if its only available at a certain service pack level. We're running 3.12,
