6.25.1322 - Printer Could not Initialise

One of our users is geting this error intermittantly - the printer is setup in Windows printers,  TRIM client is able to view the settings, manipulate them and after about a minute of fiddling it seems to pick it up fine despite no changes to the setup/label being committed. The printer is not in use by anyone else and is not in sleep mode or anything like that.

Anyone seen this before, or have troubleshooting suggestions?

I'm wary of problems that go away on their own; they tend to come back on their own.

I would think this would be more of a workstation issue versus TRIM.  But I could be wrong.  Have you tested to see if you can get the same behaviour when using other applications like Word, Excel, Notepad, etc?

There was a CR, 42645, that referenced this error.

It appeared related to selecting a printer tray in the printer settings.

Does you user have a custom tray selected?

It's supposed to be fixed in 7.1.0 1157, so not sure what Jason is seeing.

Il Have to double check the build they are on.. They may be #1132 which would explain that.
