Document is saving to user's offline records instead of TRIM

Hi All

I have a random problem occurring where some users are saving a new word document into TRIM from the application.  The fillin the TRIM sheet and click OK and are given a document number.  However then when they close the document they can not find it again in TRIM.

The weird part of this is that when we look in their offline records the documents that they thought they had saved into TRIM are now in offline records as a draft.

This seems to have been occurring since an upgrade of TRIM and the workgroup servers from 6.2.4 to 6.2.5.

Anyone got any ideas?

2 possibilities:

1. They are just closing the individual document and leaving the Word session open still.

This leave the document in Offline Records until the full Word session is closed, where the handle on the document is released and TRIM can auto-check it in.

2. They are searching for the document by a Word search and the document hasn't been indexed yet. Try searching on record number or date registered instead.

Thanks for the help grundy.

1.  This is exactly what I thought but TRIM is not auto checking it in even after the application or word session has been closed.  It just stays in offline records.

2. The users are record number searching and not title searching as they write the number down for later seaches.

If this is still an ongoing issue, log a support case so the support team can look into this further. :smileyhappy:
