Document store error

Hi,

We have received the following error message a few times and was wondering if anyone knows what it means or how to fix it?

Error: BD User: SANRM-SQL - trimadmin The Document Store file with ID 0o+c0000j9j.x_x could not be found in the store with ID '1'.

Thanks

Miranda

Re: Document store error

Miranda,

This happens because the file was uploaded into TRIM without an extension.  You can correct this by going into the document store, locating the file (use the Electronic tab of the record properties to determine the expected file name), rename it to match what's expect, and then try again.

For instance, if the electronic tab says it should be file "00+c0000001.x_x", then go into the document store on the server and look for a file starting with "c0000001" in the "1\00" directory of the document store.  Rename it to "c0000001.x_x".

Cheers,

Erik

Re: Document store error

Hi Erik,

The document isn't in the document store at all. The document is showing in TRIM as x_x when it should be a word doc. This document has come from a workflow. I have set up a workflow with where you need to supercopy from an existing record in TRIM. The existing record is a word doc, but when you supercopy it, it doesn't show as a word doc. It shows as .x_x and the document isn't in the doc store at all. Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks

Re: Document store error

As Erik said, the file wont actually have the x_x extension when you go looking for it.

You should be able to find it if you do a Windows file search for 'c0000j9j' across the entire store structure.

Get the file with no extension and give it the x_x extension.

If you know it's a word doc, you can go about renaming the extension in the store and in the database entry that references this file.

Re: Document store error

I just did a search and it came up with nothing. it's definately not in there. Do you know why it doesn't put the supercopy in TRIM as a word doc to start with?

Re: Document store error

Well it should, but it might have been a problem in TRIM, or with the original document that has caused this issue.

What version of TRIM are you using?
