Removing "Date Closed" dates from records using TRIMport Tool

Hi,

I was wondering if there was a way to remove the date closed on containers (bulk update) using the TRIMport tool.  I had a look at the TRIMport help files but there seems to be no information regarding removing closed date field.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Yuri

TRIMPort doesn't remove anything.

You can add data but you cant remove it.

Importing empty fields will do nothing.

Alternatively, you can import the Date Closed field but set it to something like year 2020.

It wont remove it, but the records will remain open for now.

Re: Removing "Date Closed" dates from records using TRIMport Tool

Hi Yuri,

I'm uncertain if this will work so please try in a test environment first.

When using the COM SDK in TRIM 6R2 with MS Excel I was able to use a date value that resulted in a blank date in TRIM. Now this applied to Additional Fields formatted as a Date, so I'm uncertain if it will work with Date Closed.

Try either 01/01/1900 or 31/12/1899.

Good Luck!

Thanks so much Chris. The 1899 trick worked.
