Word Document Shows Current Date

We are using Trim 7.1.2.2017,

We have created for users Microsoft Word templates.  These templates automatically insert the current date in the document which is a form field.  These created documents are then cataloged into TRIM.  Everytime the document is reviewed the current date continues to pop up.

I realize that you can change the form field to text by using ctrl shift F9 .  However, can the same thing be done in Trim?   Would finalizing the document change the form field to text or do you still have to do ctrl shift F9.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Word Document Shows Current Date

How are the documents being saved after they are registered?

.dotm? .dotx? or just the standard docx?

Re: Word Document Shows Current Date

The source document says that it is just .doc   Is this a problem?

Re: Word Document Shows Current Date

I would have thought .doc would have been ok.

What happens to a document when you change to finalised.

Re: Word Document Shows Current Date

When I finalized the document the form field remains.   Looks like the solution is Cntl Shift F9 the date while editing the document..

Thanks.
