No VPN connection with Netgear router using HP Probook 4720s
Computers using XP Pro. 32bit.
Colleague cannot connect to our work VPN using HP Probook 4720s and home router Netgear Range Pro WPN824 V3. Internet connection is available but not vpn. However, using a HP 6830s notebook he can connect. Furthermore, when we changed the home router to a Linksys the vpn connection worked.
It appears the 4720s onboard adapter both LAN and Wireless does not talk well with Netgear router for VPN only. This was found similarly at open Wifi connections around town…some connected and others didn’t with the 4720s, but the older HP 6830s worked at all locations.
HP Probook 4720s is using Atheros Wireless Lan adapter ver 3.0
Need help to resolve.
