WL100 + Intel PCI Carrier ?

WL100 + Intel PCI Carrier ?

I have a WL 100 PCMCIA card and I am trying to use it on a desktop computer using a Intel Pro/wireless 2011 LAN PCI carrier.

It does not work.

Could it be that the Intel PCI carrier only works with a Intel wireless card ?
