J9001A limiting simultaneous logins
Hi,
were currently deploying an J9001A using different SSIDs with different Auth Methods.
In one SSID WebAuth is used, and there we would like to limit the sessions per user.
Is this possible?
As no RADIUS Accouting can be configured, the RADIUS Server can't decide in this case IMHO.
Thx,
Michael

Re: J9001A limiting simultaneous logins
For the reason that you mentioned (no aaa accounting) this currently isn't possible as far as I'm aware. I'd expect that a future firmware release for the WESM will bring accounting support.
Secondly there's the matter of if your RADIUS server supports this. I'm yet to find a way to do this with IAS myself (seems to require 3rd party utils) - I'm hoping that this could be done with a future release of ProCurve IDM since it does monitor login accounting statistics.
I know that the Cisco Secure ACS and also FreeRADIUS can do this.

Re: J9001A limiting simultaneous logins
Thank's for the reply Matt,
we are using it together with FreeRADIUS.
So we need a workaround here. Do you know wether it is possible to get a list of logged in users by SNMP? My idea is to use an external script to check for duplicates during the Auth-Process.
Do you know more about any release Date for a new Firmware?
Thx again,
Michael
