Procurve AP 420 with iPAQ 214 WPA2-PSK problem

It looks like a problem with the AP420 V2.2.5 firmware when using WPA-WPA2-TKIP-AES with pre-shared passphrase (security settings option 8).
Another system (laptop with Cisco aironet) also failed to authenticate with the same behaviour showing up in the log (attached, both with failures and subsequent success).
Simply changing the SSID name and passphrase 'fixed' the problem. The old SSID was "XDelta Bristol WLAN 1" and the old password was "XDeltaBristolWLAN1".
The new SSID is similar, but (and I think crucially) does not have any spaces in the SSID. The new password is completely different (and so is how it was derived).
I'd like to see this investigated and fixed.
