Wireless switch

Unfortunately, I have never tried to use my wireless feature on this notebook since ownership. I have several laptops in my office and grab this unit when I left the office for the weekend. I have tried everything to get up and running but have no luck. I have removed the wireless program and reinstalled it but my wireless assistant informs me that it does not recognize any wireless switch. I am extremely disappointed to find that I have purchased this notebook (2+ years ago) and it is not fully functional. I have done some research and have found this is a VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS NOTEBOOK and the only solution is to have it repaired or replaced. This sucks since I'm sure it's warranty has expired.

It would be helpful to mention what model notebook you have and what Windows version.
