nc8000 wlan problem

My problem is that no matter what i do, my operating system doesn't recognize the wlan adapter.. to be honest i began to think that it didn't come with my notebook.
The only thing that could cause this, could have been that i reinstalled the operating system few days after using the preinstalled one.
Any ideas??

Are there any unknown devices in the Device Manager window? The WLAN device should be in the Device Manager under the network adapter tree. What CDs did you use to re-install the operating system, are they from HP and do they include the device drivers for the onboard devices?

Look in the platform documentation for where the MiniPCI slot is located...if there is a card there, then you have a WLAN device.
