3CR17333-91 - 3Com Switch 4210 26-Port console not responding
Hi there,
I have a 3CR17333-91 - 3Com Switch 4210 26-Port, which the console appears to be dead.
I need to set a IP Address on that switch, So like every other 3Com switch with no default IP Address, the way is console into it.
However, it appears that the console is dead, or not working at all. I've tried:
5 different machines.
over 10 different console cables.
all bauds existing in HyperTerminal and Putty.
Still no success, nothing comes upon switch boot, pressed enter over 1000 times, no login prompt.
The switch is working just fine if we consider unmanaged mode, which is just bridging all ports like a unmanaged switch. It is passing traffic just fine.
I wasn't able to get the switch IP Address with ARP or a packet sniffer, so it really has no IP address set.
Anything I can do about it?
