3Com 5500/(JE101A) HP E5500-24 Switch - Flooding of Unicast Traffic
Hi,
Has anyone seen a problem whereby the 5500 will flood traffic for a known unicast MAC address out all ports?
I have upgraded to latest version of code (V3.03.02s168ep10) but still we have the same problem.
I have confirmed with a sniffer that the packets are leaving the transmitting device with the correct destination MAC address and that the switch has a learned entry in its MAC address table for the correct port.
Thanks

Hi DGM,
did you fix-up this problem? I'm having exactly the same behaviour on my network.
Any suggestion is well appreciated
Thanks

Re: 3Com 5500/(JE101A) HP E5500-24 Switch - Flooding of Unicast Traffic
Hi,
I'm afraid we were unable to get the problem resolved. We swapped the hardware but got the same problem so ended up having to replace them with a different manufacturer.
